Creating a book with Indesign, can I group sections contain multiple chapters?

I’m creating a Regional cookbook in InDesign. Each document has multiple recipes. There are multiple documents for each region. When I bring the documents into a Book files I don’t see a way to group the 5 different regions.  Sorry, it’s hard for me to explain.

Example:

Northern region has 7 files (each a different state with multiple recipes)

Middle Regions had 5 files. “  ”

Southern Regions has 6 files. “  ”

When I bring each file into the BOOK project, I don’t know how to differentiate which chapters go with the separate regions. I would like to color code each chapter to show which region it’s in. Is there a way to group chapters or make subchapters, or anything to group things together?

There is no way that I know to color code documents icons added to a book file. You can add a prefix and suffix to the individual files to help in the organization once viewed in the book panel.
