Creating Editable, Secured Forms in InDesign.

So here is my problem in a nutshell.

I want to create a secured pdf form in indesign where my clients fill in their information and also add their artwork (logo, picture, etc). Is there a way to allow them to click on the box and then navigate on their computer to the image they want to use.

I know how to create the form, but not the image part.

Thank you in advance!

Not possible using InDesign. If you have Acrobat Pro you can create a button that will let users click on a box and navigate on their computer to the image they want to use. You would need to use JavaScript to do this.

Users would need to use Acrobat or Reader, not Preview. The JavaScript will work on a desktop or laptop computers.

You can't create a form-like button which will let users choose and insert an image file somewhere onto a PDF page.

And with plain (and free) PDF tools like Acrobat Reader or Apple's Preview, users can't manually add an image either.

So you're stuck between a rock and a hard place...

If I understand your question correctly, you can create an image field in Acrobat Pro.

Not possible. PDF only permits creating files in an application like InDesign or in Adobe Acrobat. Does you client have Acrobat?

It definitely doesn't have anything to do with InDesign. InDesign is a convenience for creating well-designed PDF forms (which make possible only some of the feature set of Acrobat).
