Creative Cloud softwares "spacebar not working" while using Microsoft Word

So, Mac OS Ventura Version 13.4. Macbook Pro M1 My employer has Microsoft Office as software that we all use in the company. The issue: When I have a brief opened and I'm designing simultaneously in Indesign or Illustrator. My spacebar randomly stops toggling to the hand tool.The only solution I have found to work has been "restarting the computer" Closing out Microsoft Word does not seem to work. Also, Google Chrome is not the offender since I always have it open, and this only happens when using Microsoft Office softwaresIs anyone else experiencing this issue? If so, would you happen to know of a fix that does not require a restart? Thank you'll in advance!

Here's a method for figuring out why modifier keys in InDesign may not work: Restart your computer and when rebooting hold down the Shift key to prevent startup applications from launching.

Open InDesign first before all other applications. Likely, the Space Bar will start working in InDesign. One by one start up other applications and test InDesign to see whether an app or a browser extension may be the offender. There are some other apps and extensions which can "capture" modifier keys.
