Indesing can still amaze me,

paragraph number only is not an option for cross ref,

and i need a figure numbering to link only since translation for specific language

has a different text within the paragraph,

so how can i have a
cross ref that would be like : Obrázku 2
if the figure text is Obrázek 2 ?

i tried elim from the menu but i cannot define a whole word to exclude from cross ref,

is there a way?

i need only paragraph number to be shown in cross ref

Sorry, I misunderstood you. You're correct, that's not possible in InDesign. InDesign's paragraph numbering is a paragraph feature, the numbering should be a character feature so that the number could appear in other positions than at the start of the paragraph.

If anyone has a solution to this, it will be @Peter Kahrel. To me, this is yet another example of a missing feature that we have in FrameMaker—the ability to x-ref ParaNum and ParaNumOnly (Figure 1 and 1). Please vote on the feature request!
