anyone know how to fix this?

it says file doesnt exist or I might not have permission to use It. Everything is fine with pdf permissions.

its not an issue of selection import options, everything is being done correctly. has anyone had this problem and has been able to fix it?

So here’s what fixed it this time: did a system recovery to before the update point: did not work.

Found on a different forum online that if you change your file name including the extension and when prompted by windows that the file might become unusable, click go ahead anyways: it worked.

on my own, but still working on InDesign CS5. Thanks.

CS5 is not supported under Windows 10 which gets updates every month and major upgrades every 6 months or so. If you got it to run this long, it may well have been nothing but dumb luck.

I’m sorry, but beyond running CS5 in Windows 7 mode, you’re on your own.

Windows 10 updates have been taking their toll on old CS versions of InDesign the past couple years. Of course InDesign CS5 was never designed for Windows 10 and Adobe has not supported it for several years. Sadly, you're on your own.
