Ctrl+Alt+0 setting to resize a few percent larger

Working on a laptop and needing to capitalize on every available bit of screen real estate. ctrl+alt+0 automatically sizes the document to 69%, but 72% would be ideal, still providing view of the entire spread but dispensing with the extra space around the document that ID provides by default. Is there a way to set this screen size as a default for the doc, or as the full size when hitting ctrl+alt+0? Kind thanks.

You could try changing the size of the actual pasteboard a little. That may get your zoom in a little tighter when viewing all of it with Ctrl-Alt-0. InDesign > Preferences > Guides & Pasteboard.

Or just hit Ctrl-0 to zoom to just the document.

    Basically set the script to the magnificaiton you want and then assign the Keyboard Shortcut.

    @EugeneTyson This is a great script, thank you! I tried my luck with ChatGPT to modify the script so the user only has to change the number in the file name without going into an editor. You can download that version here.

    You can double click on the percentage at the bottom left to type in a custom value …

    Also try to temporarily hide the Control Panel with CMD/CTRL+ALT/OPT+6 or in the Window menu > “Control”.

    That should hopefully give you the extra space you need.
    There is no defualt to set it too, as it is also dependent on your screen resolution.

    Thanks - I'm aware of those options. It would be time consuming and incovenient, unfortunately, to type in a custom percentage many times a day after each zoom in and use that as substitute for ctrl+alt+0. ID really should have an option for this, to quickly, with a keyboard shortcut, hit your desired working percentage. ID is so full featured as it is now, after so many years, I'm surprised no option for this was ever developed. Ctrl+alt+0 comes close but is not ideal. Anyone on a laptop, with such limited screen real estate, might appreciate this.
