Ctrl C + Ctrl V shortcut stopped working on my computer after copying an object on Indesign

Can anyone help me with this issue I'm experiencing on Indesign for weeks now? I'm using Windows.

Whenever I start copy pasting an object (shape, grouped objects, textbox, image, etc) on Indesign using the keyboard shortcut ctrl c + ctrl v, I can no longer copy paste anything from Word or from any other apps. The copy paste function (shortcut / right-click / menu) just stopped working at all.

For example, I copy pasted a textbox on Indesign then copied a text from Word. Instead of seeing the text, what's showing is the textbox I previously copied. Now, I tried copying the text from Word again to test if it'll show on (example) notepad - but it didn't, it's just blank.

If I restart my computer, then it starts working again. I can copy text, images, etc as long as it's not from Indesign. I tried updating Indesign but it didn't fix the issue. It's really interrupting the fluidity of my work.
