Cursor Jumping Issue in InDesign with Arabic and Urdu Text

Im using indesign Since 2014, after update indesign22, this will happend on every new update. my problem is when i press Right arrow The cursor go jumps to the up line and when i press left arrow the cursor Go to below line . I chacked And try every posible sittings. im using also indesign 22version 17.4 on the same laptop xps 15 and there is no issue.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I understand how frustrating it can be when the cursor behaves unexpectedly, especially after updates.

Could you please confirm which version of InDesign you're currently using? Additionally, I’d like to know the details of your operating system. It would also be really helpful if you could share a screen recording demonstrating the issue so we can better understand what you're experiencing.

 

In the meantime, I recommend checking your paragraph settings to ensure that the language options for Arabic and Urdu are correctly configured. You might also want to try resetting your preferences in InDesign. Reference: https://adobe.ly/400KA4d

I'm using Adobe indesign version 19.4. - last update on 11-oct-2024 today.

and yes I chacked paragraph settings and everything I know but noyhing happend.!

My older Indesign 17.4 version works fine on my both laptops.

I'm using Dell xps 15 , 9500.

sorry..!  the latest version of Indesign is 19.5. I have and update on 11-oct-2024
