Cut/Copy/Paste not working from InDesign to other applications

I am unable to cut/copy/paste from InDesign to other application such as Word. I am able to cut/copy/paste within InDesign documents.

Not wanting to overstate the obvious, but make sure that you're selecting the text with the Type tool and not the selection tool. Other programs won't recognize objects copied to the clipboard.

I just tried to copy and paste using the type tool and selection tool. Both worked.
