Damaged Indesign file persisting

I have a file that I tried open yesterday and it said that the file was damaged. I opened and the file 'seemed' to be okay and I could continue to work but now that I've save and returned to the file the new file is now also saying it is damaged. Is there any way to fix this damage? I am also encountering issues with exporting to PDF and the hyperlinks are pretty messed up. I am wonder if this could be the damage? I'm on a tight deadline for this so any insight is appreciated.

Hello @EricaSholycow,

Thanks for reaching out. Would you mind providing some details about the circumstances under which these files were saved or edited, as well as the location where they were stored? For example, were there any unexpected crashes of InDesign, sudden app closures, system shutdowns, or power outages during the editing process?

Also, kindly share a link to a sample file after uploading to Dropbox/Google Drive/etc, so we can check it on our end.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello

For the original damaged file there was a power outage but from the resaved file there were no unexpected crashes or closures. The files are stroes on the internal hard drive Unfortunately, I am not able to share a sample due to confidentiatlity.
