Data Merge

Hello, good evening! I would like some help!
I need to make a backdrop with the names of 2,000 employees of a company. I will receive this file in Excel. I need the names to be side by side, separated by a few spaces. Can I do this using data merge?

Are each backdrop a separate file? 

You don't need Data Merge for this - import the names from excel - copy and paste them in - it will come in as a table. 

 

Then convert the table to text. 

 

If you give us more context on what you're doing and how it will look in the end it would be easier to guide you.
