Data Merge - Creates New Frame Instead of Using Frame on Parent

I'm attempting to set up a data merge to place one photo on each of several pages. After the merge, I notice that the merged image is not being placed in the page's original frame that I identified. Each image is being placed in a new frame. Therefore, I can't return to the Parent page and adjust sizes and other features of that frame en mass.

Any suggestions?
