Working on the price catalog for approximately 2000s items from the excel sheet. Is there a feature that would link InDesign to a spreadsheet or comma delimited file to pull in pricing based on an item number(like vlookup)?

Em Software was already mentioned.

Here are the websites for the companies I mentioned:

 http://emsoftware.com/

https://www.65bit.com/

https://www.teacupsoftware.com/

Hi, did you manage to solve your issue? If so, which method did you end up using? I have a similar problem..

I think it is possible to place xml after converting excel data to xml.
Look it up in InDesign and XML.

If it's one time job and simple price update - custom script will be much cheaper.

I would look at database plug-ins such as Em software, 65-bit software,, teacup software, and others. They will do what you want and can even hook directly into the main database if desired.

No. Only through script. What platform - PC or Mac?
