Data Merge: How to stop a merge at one point and continue to another.

I am currently working on a composite for the graduating class and I need to add text in the middle of the composite. I was able to data merge all of the names and photos with no issue. I would like to know if there is any way to continue the data merge to essentially wrap around the text in the center. Or is this a thing that I would have to do manually?
