Data Merge is so Unreliable

I used this feature last week without an issue for multiple records. It worked as I expected and output a document with multiple records on an 8 1/2"x11" page. This week, I follow the same steps and it will not output to a page with mulitple records. Each record is output on it's own 2"x2 1/2" page. I've attached an image of the output today vs the output last week.
