Data Merge will not place eps files

Hi;
I run a new version of a job every couple months.
I’m using InDesign and DataMerge to assemble the 1ups. 
There are 3 elements; a text description, a filing number and a barcode.
All 3 items are listed in an Excel file, and I flow the info in from there. 
Everything lives in the same folder, etc., etc.
I’ve been using the same process for years...

Now when trying to flow info from a new list, it’s not picking up the barcode. 
Even when I go into a successful prior job and try to reflow it without changing anything it won’t pick up the upcs that it was just using a minute ago.
I’ve deleted the preferences, rebooted applications and mac several times... ugh!

I am running InDesign 2022 on a 2015 imac with Monterey OS.

I’m waiting for a return call from tech-support, but thought I’d try here as well.
Any insight would be appreciated.
