DataMerge : tag price in place

Hi all, 

Is it possible to tag dInDesign document with ref and prices in place, then export in a csv or excel file, then give it to my client to check and replace if needed the prices in this excel or csv files, then update the InDesign file with the new version of csv/excel file ? 

In fact, I have InDesign file from previous catalog, needed to be update with new prices, and my client working only with excel file. Seems like to tag all my ref/price and export in a document that I coul update to re-import in InDesign.

Excel documents can be linked to InDesign; check under preferences File Import. You could set paragraph styles for the price columns to have export tags, the export that text. Would take some setup, but yes what you're after should be possible.
