Question

Deletions are being consolidated into a single record.

If there is a sequence of characters "AB"—where User 1 deletes "A" and User 2 deletes "B"—the deletion log records that User 2 deleted both "A" and "B"; in other words, deleting adjacent characters results in a single combined record. Is this intended behavior or a bug?

Also, make sure each user has a unique name (File>User… menu). Otherwise, all edits will show up as from the same person.

Suppose there is the text "AB".
If you set the InDesign username to "A" and delete the character "A",
then set the InDesign username to "B" and delete the character "B",
    deleting adjacent characters results in
a single deletion record, even though the usernames differ.

Is this an inquiry about track changes? How are you sharing the documents?

Just to make sure: are you referring to a user action, or a plug-in functionality (based on your previous posts)?
