I want to deploy printer profiles to multiple windows devices.

The profiles have to be available in InDesign.

Does anyone have experience with this?

Hi @it kaanarchitec 48700773 , on OSX you can install profiles in a number of folders depending on the access you are looking for. Copying them into Adobe’s recommended folder gives Adobe apps access and puts them at the top of the profile list above the gray line in Color Settings and Edit>Assign Profiles... I use Recommended for the profiles I use regularly:

On OSX the path is:

Startup⁩ drive▸ ⁨Library⁩ ▸ ⁨Application Support⁩ ▸ ⁨Adobe⁩ ▸ ⁨Color⁩ ▸ ⁨Profiles⁩ ▸ ⁨Recommended⁩

On Windows Application Support should be AppData—C:\Users\<username>\AppData?

Hi Rob,

let me assist with the Windows part:

For color setting files *.csf:

User > USERNAME > AppData > Roaming > Adobe > Color > Settings > Recommended

For color profile files *.icc:

User > USERNAME > AppData > Roaming > Adobe > Color > Profiles > Recommended

For color proofing files *.psf:

User > USERNAME > AppData > Roaming > Adobe > Color > Proofing

Just a note on all this: If you set up a new machine and you never ran or started up InDesign or PhotoShop, just installed both apps, the Color folder might not exist at all; you have to add the Color folder with the Recommended folder and its contents, the csf files to User > USERNAME > AppData > Roaming > Adobe

However, I'm not sure if this kind of "profile files" are meant.

Perhaps @it kaanarchitec 48700773 means printer preset files with suffix *.prst ?
