Disable automatic relink for remote (http) images

Hi,
I'm using InDesign with an external DAM.
When I insert images, the link refers to the web path (https://...) of the asset on the DAM Server.
If the image is modified externally, when the layout is reopened the image is automatically relinked bringing it to the latest version (the one modified externally).
Is there a way to prevent this behavior?
I tried disabling InDesign's "Check Links Before Opening Document" configuration but nothing changed for this case.
