Question

Disable automatic updates of CC libraries assets

Hello,

is there a way to switch off the automatic updating of CC library assets?

The concrete case is an Illustrator graphic, which has become slightly larger after correction in its dimensions. After saving it in the CC library, all links to this graphic are automatically updated in every Indesign document I open. However, without warning. This means that employees who are not informed that an asset has been changed do not see that this asset is displayed differently and no longer fits correctly in the previous graphic box.
This may be noticeable in a brochure with a few pages, but it is rather difficult in documents with several hundred pages.

Best regards
Tom

Hi Tom,

I'm not sure about library assets, but you can deactivate the genereal checking of links in the InDesign preferences under File Handling.
Be aware that this setting affects missing and out-of-date links.
So if you open a document you no longer get the warning that there are missing/out-of-date links and you have to manually relink if there were missing links (e.g. relinking to the /Links folder no longer happens automatically).

Hello Jens,

thanks for your support but unfortunatly does it not solve the problem.

Perhaps it is not possible for CC assets, they always automatically update.
