I have a Mac Studio at work and an iMac at home. When I open indesign documents at home that I have created at work, all the image previews are distorted, see image. Anyone with the same issue and hopefully a solution? I have talked to Dropbox support at length, they are pointing towards Adobe.
Sorry to hear you’re running into this issue. Adding to the suggestions shared by our expert, could you please confirm the version of InDesign you’re using along with your macOS version? It would also be helpful if you could open one of the affected images in another Adobe application, such as Photoshop or Illustrator, and let us know if you see the same grey lines or color changes there as well. If possible, please also share one of the affected images with us so we can take a closer look.
I am running Indesign v 21.6 with Tahoe 26.6.2. I took Leo Rs advice and toggled the Full Disk Access for indesign in System Settings. Seems like that solved my issue!
It’s a known bug that affects some JPEGs. Here’s a thread on the subject with some potential solutions.
Also, make sure Full Disk Access is granted to InDesign in System Settings > Privacy & Security. And that your Dropbox sync options are set to Available offline.
