Does the font selection in the Paragraph Styles panel not support autocomplete suggestions?

Just like in the Control Panel, where font selection is filtered and suggested as you type.
This feature seems to be missing in the Paragraph Styles panel, the Find and Replace Fonts panel, and the Composite Font Settings.
It’s very inconvenient.

I wonder if there will be improvements in version 2026.

Also, it’s very inconvenient that you can’t quickly jump to the current font’s position in the font list.

    Hi ​@dublove,

     

    If I understood correctly, you’re referring to the difference in font selection behavior between the Control Panel and the Basic Character Formats section within Paragraph Styles. I completely understand how important this is for your workflow, and I’m sorry that this functionality isn’t consistent at the moment in Adobe InDesign.

This helps us track and prioritize such requests, and you’ll also be notified of any updates from the team. It would be great if you could share the UserVoice link here as well so others can upvote it.

    Also, regarding the shared video, the Dropbox link opens fine on my end too. It might be related to network policies or configuration on your side that’s preventing access.

    ​@dublove it works for me on the paragraph style dialog. See the video, am I looking at something different from what you are saying? And this is 2022 version

    This is so frustrating—I have to use some kind of workaround just to access this site.
    They’ve blocked this one too.
    I’m speechless. Is the outside world that hostile?

    Dropbox is blocked for you? Is it your ISP or your workplace firewall? Where should i upload so that you can access it?
