Downloaded Fonts Not Showing Up 20.4.1

Hi all,

I've downloaded a handfull of fonts from Adobe Fonts, and they're not showing in InDesign. They're showing up fine in Illustrator & Photoshop.

I've tried clearing cache, logging out and back into my acccount, closing and reopening the app, checking creative cloud and turning off my computer. Anyone have any idea what's going on?

Cheers.

Hi @mikey_7951,

Thanks for sharing the details, and I hope Bob's suggestion to recheck the font filters and log back in helped resolve the issue.

Since the fonts are showing fine in Illustrator and Photoshop but not in InDesign, it's possible the app is filtering out certain fonts or hasn't synced them properly. Could you please make sure the font filters in InDesign's Character panel aren't hiding them? You can clear any active filters from the font dropdown and also ensure that you're not working inside a paragraph or character style that might be overriding font selections.

If that doesn't help, try deactivating and reactivating the fonts directly from the Creative Cloud desktop app, then reopen InDesign.

Let me know how it goes, I'll be happy to check this further with you.

Hi Abhishek,

No filters are applied, I've now also tried deactivating and reactivating with no luck.

Hi @mikey_7951

Thanks for confirming that. Could you please share the name of the font that seems most affected? I'd like to test it on my end as well. In the meantime, please try clearing the font cache by following the steps in this article: https://adobe.ly/45ocObo

Let me know if that helps or if the issue persists.

Abhishek

Try logging out and then back in.

Also check the font filter to see how you're sorting and displaying fonts.
