Downloading a previous version

I am having trouble downloading a previous version of Indesign but Creative cloud keep trying to downwload the current version. My computer is not compatible with the new version because I don't have enough RAM. Please help.

Hi Amber:

InDesign 18 (last version) and 19 (current version) both require 8GB of RAM, 16GB recommended. The last version that could run on 4GB was 17. Adobe's policy is make the current version and the previous available to install via the CC Desktop App, so 17 is no longer available.

As previously mentioned, upgrading your RAM should solve this, assuming your computer meets the other system requirements. See https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/system-requirements/earlier-versions.html.

The other option is to reach out to Adobe customer support and ask for the InDesign 17 installer. Based on what we hear from other uses, this was successful for a while, but lately it's been unsuccessful. Try explaining your situation and ask for a supervisor if refused. Not the answer for older CC versions - but it looks like it is still possible to download CS 5 and CS 5.5 directly from Adobe:

Have not registered there my CS 6.0 S/N - but it would probably be there as well?

Please answer the other questions but RAM is cheap. If the computer is expandable (and it would have to be very old if it isn't) buy more.

No, I have a HP laptop with 4GB of RAM, but the new InDesign app requires
8GB of RAM so, I was trying to download the previous version that is
compatible with my laptop. This is for a school assignment.
