Question

DPS brochure really slow on tablets and smartphones

Hi

I am relatively new to DPS, but I have set up a few brochures using Indesign's DPS features and whilst the interactivity is great when viewing on a computer screen, when you view on a smartphone or tablet the effects and gif animations are incredibly slow and the buttons don't always work, or takes several hits with your finger before it recognises it.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as my client wants to use interactive PDF but I know i wont be able to get the same level of interactivity on that.

Here is one of the tester documents that I have been working on:

Thanks.

That is not DPS, it is Publish Online and which tablets and phones are looking at it in.

Apologies Bob, yes it is publish online, is there a reason why it is so slow on tablets and smart phones? Should I be developing these brochures differently? Thanks.

It’s going to be dependent on the browser. That’s why I asked what you’re viewing them on.
