Drop Down Menus will not work

I'm inon a Mac running OS Monterey 12.4, with InDesign 17.3. I cannot get my drop down menus to work, at one point I could double click, holding down the second click and they woud work, but anything with a secondary menu will not work at all. I've tried Uninstalling, using Adobe Clean Up, Deleting preference files from Library, and nothing has succeeded in resolving the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Vielleicht mal als erstes auf 12.5 aktualisieren und nachschauen ob es das Problem gelöst hat, ansonsten dann einen neuen User erstellen und dort Indesign testen...

    Exact same problem here. Cost me no end of time and hassle (also tried all of the above).
