Each section – Table of Contents with Automatic numbering

Hi, I was wondering if this is possible.

I have (a longish) document which uses numbering for the headlines and sub heads. Each headline gets pulled into a global table of contents. The thing is now I need to pull in each section into its own table of contents but keep the numbering in sequence. (see attached, red box)

I'm not entirely sure how I get the numbering to work. I have a document I can attach which works globally, can anyone help?

Basic Styles and Section Titles numbering.indd.zip - Google Drive

many thanks

Oh, I think Ive managed to get a work around. I have two table of contents one I call global which I show all the the TOC at the beginning of the document and one called local which I'll show at the beginning of each new section.

The difference is the local TOC version pulls in a style called 'section level one' and has an entry style called 'jump' this style uses 'keep options:  'start Paragraph: on Next Page'. I then link the text frames with this TOC between each section start.

    Hope this makes sense.
