Edit item in CC library

Hello. I am on a MacBook Pro using CC 2018.

I have a few spec sheets that have the same logo and disclaimer on the back page. I added this to my CC Libraries. The logo and text as one item.

I noticed that when I drag it onto the page from CC Libraries Panel that it does not have the little cloud icon.

When I try to update the disclaimer, (for example, the year), it does not update on the sheets. What am I doing wrong? Is it because it is a logo and text together?

I tried to separate them, but I received the same result. Tried editing them and they did not update on my files, nor did they have the little cloud icon.

I am not having this problem when I updated the program to 2019. I did have the option to Place linked or Copy.

It was something that I created.

I was editing the item in the library.

When you do the edits are you editing the original file or are you right clicking the item in the library and choosing edit from there?

Instead of dragging into your doc, what happens when you right click on the asset in the library. Do you have a choice to Place linked or Place copy? Is the asset something you created and dragged into the Cloud Library or an asset on a drive that you placed in a doc and then added to you Cloud Library?

Trying to replicate.
