Hi there

I am working on a large size document. Each page has a mxitures of elements, tables, text boxes and images.

When I go about moving pages around. The elements on a lot of the pages move completely around and overlap each other. It is a disaster

It takes me hours to fix each pages again

I am not sure why this is happening. It is happening a lot.

Would anyone know why?

Hi @hbeehan , That can happen If you are releasing parent page items on your pages, and then moving the pages left or right relative to the spine. This might help:

Thank you for your help. What would you suggest if each page I am designing has a different layout.

if each page I am designing has a different layout.

If the pages don’t have common elements, then maybe you don’t need parent pages? You can store page items in a CC Library.

Posting screen shots of what is happening can be helpful in diagnosing. Also, version of ID & operating system is helpful. Are your text boxes threaded from page to page? Are you dealing with facing pages? Are you using any object styles that align to a specifc place? Are you using parent pages?

Here is a screenshot of how all the elements moved. I am using indesign 2026. I was using parent pages but I changed thme back to none as I thought this might be the issue. It happens mainly when I moving around pages.
