Endnotes to static endnotes error

Question

I am using the script (https://creativepro.com/files/kahrel/indesign/dynamic_endnotes.html) to convert the dynamic endnotes to static ones.

When i double click the script to run it, i get an error message saying 'Cannot find the endnote story'.

Any reason why this is so?

"Any reason why this is so?"@Summayah5FC7 ,you are using the wrong script.The one you linked to is for versions of InDesign that have not the endnotes feature included; just footnotes that were converted to endnotes with a different script. The converted footnotes to endnotes with that old script cannot be identified by InDesign's own endnotes feature. Thanks,Uwe Laubender( Adobe Community Expert )
