Epub bug

I'm creating a magazine layout for a class and we're turning it into an interactive Epub. So I'm making buttons in my table of contents to redirect to the corresponding page, however after creating the buttons and once I make and Epub to test it, it distorts the layout of some objects and texts in my magazine. How can I fix this? Also when I install a button, is there a way I can edit it so that it can display more than one page (preferably a spread since I have a couple full spreads I want to show in my project)?
