Error export/presentaion mode with placed Indesign files with photo or picture

Question

Hi, with Indesign 19.3 (and 19.2 at least) i have an issue.

1. Create Indesign document with placed photo or pictures and then place this indd file to other Indesign document.

2. Try to export document with placed indd file to pdf, jpg or just use Presentation mode (Shift+W).

Result - photo/picture in exported file or previewing in Presentation mode on monitor looks like links to photo/picture was lost.

I tried to place into first document (which placed afterwards to another) jpg, psd files - no difference at all for me.

Am i alone with this or is this a bug?

Looks like i've found a reason of my problem

If i uncheck Indesign Preferences -> File Handling -> Links -> Check Links Before Opening Document then i have a described problem.

But if i check this preference back then problem disappears.

Is this bug or feature of Indesign (from 2022 to 2024 at least)?

Why Indesign doesn't check links before export (even if i unchecked Check Links Before Opening Document in preferences). Export isn't open document as i think.
