Excel Table | Std Procedures Not Working | Merged Cells | Other Options?

I created a table in Excel using merged cells. Consequently, the standard import options (File > Place > Show Import Options > etc.) for importing the table into InDesign don't work. The import steps only yield the top row of the Excel table, which features only unmerged cells. I'm amenable to alternative steps. I tried copying-pasting using the Snipping Tool, etc. but significant fidelity is lost making the table text blurry and unreadable. Other than manually creating a new table using InDesign's table function, is there another way?

Disregard. I figured it out. The remedy with a perfectly legible table is as follows:

Excel > File > More... > Options > Quick Access Toolbar > Choose commands from... > All Commands > Camera > highlight/select desired table > select new Camera icon > click somewhere in Excel file > realize picture of highlighted/selected Excel table > Copy > go to Adobe InDesign file > select text frame > Paste at desired text spot > select newly-created anchored object > Object > Anchored ObjectOptions... > adjust accordingly
