Excel to InDesign

I am having trouble importing and copying and pasting Excel list into InDesign. Here is a screen shot. The font changes to an unidentified font (see last column).

I use InDesign CC 13.0.1 (Mac) and Excel for Mac 16.9 (both xls and xlsx files.

    When you place (import), are you selecting Show Import Options and stripping out any Microsoft Excel formatting?
