Question

Export Adobe PDF CMYK Destination profiles disappearing (BUG?)

I'm using the latest version of InDesign 2025 (20.0.1 x64)

For the second time this week, on two different files, I've had my CMYK profiles disappear.

I'll go to export my project as a PDF, and get a warning saying:

"The present specifies a profile that is not available."

Looking at the Output>Destination dropdown, there is only the CMYK Working profile. All of my CMYK profiles are gone.

The profiles are gone globally, so if I open another project, they are also missing.

The only way I've found to bring the profiles back is to open Illustrator and try Saving As a PDF (using any Illustrator project). That seems to bring back to the profiles. Then I can reopen InDesign and export as normal.

Anyone else seeing this issue?
