export to pdf changing page size

I am exporting an 8.5x11 document (130 pages) to pdf. There are no bleeds although I had made bleeds at one point and then removed them. The PDF is coming out as 9x11.5. I've never had this problem before.

I tried exporting to Postscript, but that keeps turning the page from vertical to landscape, and I can't find options to change that in the export screen (all grayed out).

Update:  I was able to create a new document and print with no problem. So, finally I exported the file to PDF with a new name and it exported correctly(!!?).  In the original exports, I specified to "replace" the old PDF file, and it seems it kept the very old settings with the bleed size.  I even deleted the old PDF file, and then exported to that same name resulting the same problem.

This is a bad glitch.

Hi @kdwpilgrim1,

InDesign might be holding onto old export settings. Before exporting, please try creating a new PDF preset with the correct page size and no bleeds. In the Export PDF window, double-check that 'Use Document Bleed Settings' is unchecked under 'Marks and Bleeds'. Also, I suggest saving the old PDF with a new name or in a different location instead of overwriting it.

If the issue still persists, resetting InDesign preferences might help.

Note: Make sure to back up the preferences before clearing it.

Let me know how it goes!

Thank you! I did that and it worked. I've not had this problem before.
