Exporter/importer les paramètres utilisateur

Bonjour

Merci

Official answer from the Adobe team:

  • Is cross-platform import of user settings (Windows to macOS) officially supported? → Unfortunately, no.
  • Is there a workaround to transfer workspace, shortcuts, and preferences? → Currently, there isn’t an official method.
  • Are there any plans to enable cross-platform settings import in future updates? → At this time, there are no plans for this feature.

Thanks but sorry, I've just realized that transferring keyboard shortcuts would be pointless.
There's no CMD key on Windows, no ALT-GR on Mac and the CTRL key isn't used in the same way.
Forget it.

That's probably the reason why Adobe won't do it 😉

Thank you, I've managed to transfer the XML file containing the workspace, I'm glad, because that would have been the most painful thing to recreate.
I've also transferred the scripts and the Find-Replace.

Is there also an XML file for keyboard shortcuts?

You mean this?

There are a lot of NULL chars in the middle:

but if you scroll past that - there is more:

up to 2851 line:

So 2792 lines...

I think you should be able to extract this as text - and save as RJRB.indk file?

But you'll have - probably - remove some extra NULL characters:

for safety - you'll have to remove lines 101 to 108.

And fix those:

I can try and extract it for you - but you need to give me half an hour - I need to finish omething else.

@JR Boulay

Just to confirm - copying folders isn't good enough for you? Some settings are missing?

I should be able to open those files - will see if I can re-write them...

It's exported from Windows and I'd like to import it on the Mac.

Since this forum does not allow ZIP file or file without extension I put it there:

Thank you.

Found the thread:

A bit different approach than Exporting User Settings...

Although do what you're looking for.

Can you send me file with configuration exported from Mac?

There was a thread about the configuration file - I think it's a ZIP with some XMLs inside?
