Exporting a PDF

I want to create PDFs of a book for a website. However I don't want them to look completely flat. I would like to show the gutter and a shadow around the spread. Something like the attached image. Can ayone help? Thanks

If you want to add the gutter shadows graphically in InDesign, you could put a white-to-gray gradient-filled rectangle over each page on the Parent spread (I would add a layer in front), and set the Blend Mode to Multiply.

 

Faking the shadow around the outside of the page edges would not be as straightforward, and could get pretty wierd looking in apps that display PDF's on a dark background. You really have no control over the space aound the "paper".

There are any number of plugins for websites that will do this. It has absolutely nothing to do with InDesign.

I only do WordPress and if it's WordPress site I've used Real 3D Flipbook.
