Question

Exporting pages to PDF in pairs

I have a two page document that, after data merging, results in an InDesign document containing several hundred pages.

I need to export individual two-page PDFs (front & back) from this InDesign file.

Does anyone know if this can be done.

    Hi Andy,

with Acrobat Pro you can split a multipage PDF where every result PDF will get 2 pages.

    No issue at all.

    Organize Pages > Split >

Split by number of pages: 2

Here a screenshot from Acrobat Pro DC with some options:

Why don't do this from resulted PDF in Acrobat Pro?

Your right, having looked into this a bit more, it is a job for Acrobat DC. Having said that, it's still not straight forward as I need several hundred 2-page documents, so I need some way of split up the PDF with the pages in pairs. I'd be interested to hear if you have a suggestion for that, I've figured something out but it's quite involved.
