Exporting PDF issue

When using Export command, there is no dialog box at all. And no error message, either—just nothing. Solved this once by deleting InDesign preferences, but it has happened again.

 

InDesign 17.3. Monterey 12.01 on MacBook Pro 16-inch, 2021 with M1 Pro chip.

In addition to the Export... dialog box not appearing, none of these dialog boxes appear either:

  • Save as...
  • Save a copy..
  • Place... (box appears but is blank except check boxes at bottom: Show Import Options, Replace Selected Item, Create Static Captions

Do you have — or have you ever had — a second monitor attached?

    Yes, almost always, but I've never had this problem. I disconnected it and—problem solved! Thank you so much. Is this a known bug?
