Extra space between pages

Hey, I am a beginner in InDesign and I would like to add an extra space between each page:

The point is to have each page as an individual page (no reason to use a spread). But don't know a better solution...

How can I achieve that?

Hi @Begy ,

to make that all work what Peter and James said you first have to change your document from Facing Pages to a non facing pages one. You can do that in Page Setup.

Only with a non facing pages document you are able to move pages on the spread horizontally. Your screenshot of the Pages Panel is showing a spine; so currently it's a facing pages document.

To move pages:

select them with the Page Tool and use the Transform Panel to give them a new position.

Or even better, select all pages on the spread or in the document with the Page Tool and use the Align Panel with the feature Align and Distribute. If you open the Align Panel to its full height, you can see the distribute feature where you can define a distance between the selected elements; in this case your pages on the spread.

From my German InDesign where I switched to the Page Tool and did a Select All to select all pages in my document:

Here the result:

Actually your problem, Which is evidenced by the page numbers in brackets, is that you need to check Allow Selected Spread to Shuffle.

I've never been entirely clear on how these two settings interact. But what I wrote mimicked his layout, so... 🙂

Both settings affect shuffling, but one does the whole doc, the other only selected spreads. The clue here is the square brackets around the page numbers in the Pages Panel. They only appear when selected spread shuffling is disabled.

In the Pages palette (hamburger icon, upper right) click off "Allow Document Pages to Shuffle." It probably already is unchecked, from your layout.

Drag each page to its own space in the Pages palette.

Or, click the checkmark on "Allow Pages to Shuffle" and tell it no, you don't want to preserve the spreads. That should break all pages into individuals.
