Extracting colours from image to add to CC Librarie

Hi there, I have 5 boxes set up in an InDesign CMYK doc. Each of those shapes is filled with a CMYK swatch. I want to add them to a CC library. If I select the 5 boxes and do "add to CC library, extract from image," it creates RGB swatches. I know this because when I add them into another CMYK InDesign doc into the swatches, they are all RGB. Thank you for any advice, I'll like to have them added as CMYK swatches.

Hi there,

To add CMYK swatches to your CC library, you need to add them one at a time.

Select the shape, then click the plus icon at the bottom of the CC library panel.

Instead of "Extract from Image," choose "Fill Color." This will add the CMYK swatch to the CC library.
