Feedback and Feature Request Regarding QR Code Generation Tool

Dear Adobe Team,

While using the "Business Card" option in your QR code generation interface, we noticed an area where improvements could significantly enhance the user experience.

Currently, the interface consists of fixed fields, and it is not possible to add multiple phone numbers, email addresses, or other custom fields. However, many professionals today use more than one mobile or business phone number, alternate email addresses, or additional contact information. Therefore, having a more flexible and customizable form structure would be highly beneficial.

We believe the following improvements would greatly enhance usability:

  • Ability to add additional fields as needed (e.g., a “Add Phone Number” button)

  • Option to remove unnecessary fields

  • Customizable field labels defined by the user

Such flexibility would allow both individual and corporate users to create much more comprehensive and functional business card QR codes.

Thank you for sharing such detailed feedback and for explaining how you use the QR code generator in InDesign. I completely understand how important it would be to have the flexibility to add multiple numbers, emails, or custom fields when creating business card QR codes, and I'm sorry this functionality isn't available at the moment. Would you mind creating a UserVoice request here: Adobe InDesign: Feature Requests and adding your comments? This will help our product team prioritize the request, and you'll also be notified of any updates made to it.

Hope you are doing well, and thank you for sharing your observation. 

 

Please confirm the Adobe Application you are using for QR code generation. Is it the Acrobat Mobile/Desktop App or the Adobe Scan Mobile app? For more clarity, please share a small video recording of the steps you are using and the issue as it occurs so that we can pass it on to the right team.

Thank you for your prompt response.

 

We are referring to the QR code generation feature within the Adobe InDesign desktop application.

At this time, we are unable to provide a video recording, but I would like to briefly summarize the steps we follow and the issue we are experiencing:

The "Business Card" type QR code creation screen currently does not offer customization options to add multiple phone numbers, email addresses, or additional contact fields.

Allowing users to add, remove, and rename these fields according to their needs would make the feature much more flexible and useful.

 

We kindly request that this feedback be forwarded to the relevant team for consideration.
