File can not be opened or messy

I'm using indesign CC 2022 and want to package this file/idml so it can open in CC2020 or below. is there a way to open the idml file or not be damaged?

Please note that any features introduced into InDesign after whatever version will be opening the files will not work. As everyone else has said the IDML files will open in any version later than CS4. They just may not be fully functional.

You can open any IDML file in an older version back to CS4, but functionality which came in later than the version you are using to open. that file is lost and causes damage.

File > Open from CS4 or later will open an IDML file.
