File Place - aspect ratio of frame is wrong way round

Hi all. Apologies if this has been raised before - I've searched and can't find anything, but might be down to wrong search terms.

Anyway, I'm using Adobe InDesign CC and have recently hit an issue with placing images in my document. I'm using File > Place but when I select the image to import the aspect ratio of the frame that the image is being placed in is all wrong. The depth of the frame equals the height of the image, but it is too wide:

I'm guessing I may have clicked some option somewhere that has resulted in this. Does anyone out there know how to fix it? Thanks!

    Can you deselect all and then show me your Frame Fitting Options dialog box?

    It's all working fine now thanks. I must have not tried all the options properly when I replied previously. Here's dialog box with the option I now have selected:

    Check your Frame Fitting settings to see if you changed a default. In the same menu, Fit Frame to Content will fix this until you figure this out.

    Hi Barb,

    Thanks very much for the help. The fix works fine - picking Fit Frame to Content - but I can't figure out what I've done to the defaults to make the problem happen! I've picked all the options there and it still behaves the same. It also only seems to be in this one document - other document I'm working on behave OK. Grrrr.
