File Recovery

Can you please help me recover the file? It is corrupted (but unfortunately removed to another directory so the auto recovery of the file fails). I’ve already sent them to

corrupt_indesign_docs@adobe.com. I also attached the recovery file if that helps.

Hi, we can often recover corrupt InDesign files. It is not free though. But I will look at the file for free and let you know if we can recover it to not. Just email me on David AT Markzware DOT nl (and send me the .INDD file via WeTransfer or what have you)

This doesn't help you now but it's another good argument for saving your files to the Creative Cloud Files folder or Google Drive, DropBox etc. These services allow you to restore to a previous version of the file.

What's the error message if you try to open it?

FWIW: You cannot attach files in forum posts.

You can insert screenshots when using the forum editor, but attaching files is not allowed.

If you want that someone else is testing your document, upload it to e.g. Dropbox and share the download link.

Hi thank you for the reply. The error message is "cannot open file because the format is not supported, or it is opened by other programs".

I've already attached the downloadable link of Google drive in the email that I sent to the engineers.

Thank you for sharing the file. I am afraid I could not recover your file. The file you shared was either created using some third party plugin or it was created in some other application.
