I'm not sure what's going on but when opening Indesign 2024 now he top menu where you go File, Save has disappeared and I can't see how to get it back. Does anyone have a solution for this please?

Try trashing the preferences or cleaning the cache that might help. See the article below

Hi @chrisohara221,

I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing this issue with InDesign. As Manan suggested, try resetting the preferences or clearing the cache; this often resolves odd behaviors like missing menus. You can follow the steps in the article.

If that doesn’t solve the problem, could you please confirm the exact version of InDesign you’re using and your operating system? If you’re on a Mac, also check that the menu bar isn’t set to automatically hide in the system settings.

We’ll figure this out together!

Best regards,

Thank you - my top menu bar (? ribbon?) was missing also and using the shift-control-option-command combo when starting up In Design on my mac allowed me to delete the preference files and resolve the issue.
