Files Generative Fill

InDesign's Feature Generative Fill is usefull, but the files are in a place difficult to access (C:\Users\admin\Documents\InDesign-GenAI-Assets\...) and the long file names make it difficult to identify when they are many. When cooperating with others, they are needed: it would make sense to have them in the folder of the indd. Or somewhere configurable.

@Michael Shorny

Maybe copy them into some "closer" location - after creation?

Hi @Michael Shorny,

Thank you for your feedback regarding the Generative Fill feature in InDesign! I completely understand the difficulty of accessing the files when they are stored in a complex directory and having long filenames makes it harder to identify them, especially when working collaboratively.

Currently, InDesign stores the files in the default directory (C:\Users\admin\Documents\InDesign-GenAI-Assets\...), and there isn't an option to configure or move them to the document folder by default. However, your suggestion to have this as an option is very valuable and would greatly improve workflow when collaborating with others.

I recommend raising this as a feature request on Adobe's UserVoice platform so that the product team can consider it for future updates. Here's the link to submit your request: Adobe InDesign

Feel free to share more details there, and upvote others' similar requests if you find any!

I hope this helps, and let me know if you have any further questions or need assistance with anything else.

Best,
Abhishek Rao

Thank you Abhishek for your reply and suggestion, I'll consider it, though I'm not sure if anyone cares on uservoice, I filed several bugs there (which makes using InDeisgn rather unpleasant) which seem to be just ignored ...
