Hello Indesign friends, my name is Wout from the Netherlands,

I'm making a book in Indesign about 40 years of Strongman in Holland. Each year is around 30 pages and I'm using around 15 parent pages.

I finished the first year with 32 pages and I will proceed year number 2, therefore I want to start again near year 1 so I can see what page I used etc.

Is it possible to see more then one year with page 1 to 32 from top to bottom and the next year besides from top to bottom.

Thxs for your reaction, greetings Wout

Hi Wout,

Window > Arrange > New Window

You'll have the same document open in two separate windows.

But you should rather do each year as a separate INDD document - then use Book option.

https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/indesign/using/creating-book-files.html

Then you could copy previous year, remove some / all contents, re-arrange pages - and create new content.

Thxs for the answer Robert, one question: when I create a separate INDD document or new chapter by using the book-option will the page numbering continue ??

As long as you set relevant options - yes, automatically.

There is a section "Number pages, chapters, and paragraphs in a book" in the link I've provided.
